HeartSource was born as a biproduct of our passions. As aerialists, circus artists and fire spinners, my husband, Carter, and I found ourselves struggling to recover after performances and heavy training. We purchased many different kinds of muscle rubs and pain balms, but always felt like they were missing something or had too many unnatural ingredients for my tastes. I have been studying alternative medicine for over fifteen years, beginning with herbology in my youth and branching out into massage therapy, ayurvedic medicine, energy work, and neurokinetic therapy.

 One night after a particularly rigorous training and finding ourselves out of muscle rub, Carter asked why we haven’t made our own? I immediately sat down, pulled out my trusty essential oil book and started ordering. Within a day of having all of our ingredients together, our masthead product, Epione, was born. We shared it around the community of artists in our area and were amazed at the responses we got. From then on, I was hooked on discovering more of this holistic alchemy that helped me help others and an old passion was reignited in a new way.  I have since taken my love of aromatherapy into my massage practice, performances and daily life with all natural scents, lip balms, lotions and candles, all designed with additional therapeutic effects on the body and mind.
